Hey #FaciliFam, No tools. No facilitation magic. Just a quick check-in. Because suddenly it's Friday again, and I'm staring at a blank page thinking: "What do they actually want to read this week?" π I don't always know. It's often trial and error - and that's okay. Writing a kind-of-weekly newsletter can be a lot of fun when I'm in the flow... or frustrating and exhausting when I'm not. But this edition? It's about showing up anyway. Building the habit. Staying consistent - even when it's not 1,000 words or perfectly structured. And this week, instead of forcing it, I tried something different: I asked. π€© π Crowd Wisdom - Powered by YouFeeling a bit stuck, I posted on LinkedIn with a simple question: "What topics would you love to read about?" And the responses? So good. Practical. Honest. Thoughtful. Funny, even. Turns out I don't have to guess or come up with everything on my own. You - the people in the room - already know what matters to you. And you're more than willing to share, if I just ask. Facilitation is about asking the right questions. It's about listening. Tuning in. Making space for what's already there. Okay, I admit... I tried to sneak in a facilitation analogy here, hoping you wouldn't notice. π Here's the LinkedIn post if you'd like to read through - or better yet, add your own idea: β
β Now I've got a long list to work through. And more are coming in. Overwhelmed - in the best way. π π§ Summer Flow ActivatedAnd while we're here - can we talk about how everything feels a bit slower right now? It's August. The inbox is quieter. Half the people I want to work or talk with are on a beach somewhere. Summer's got that delicious in-between energy - the perfect time to pause, breathe, and regroup. Maybe even go outside. π This slow season is a great time to step back and reflect on your practice, your toolkit, or even your digital setup. π§ Behind the (Facili)ScenesWhile things might look quiet over here, there's plenty in motion behind the scenes. β¨ Free events to level up your facilitation π More trainings, workshops, and resources π§ͺ Fun facilitation experiments π οΈ New tools to explore All coming your way soon. Stay tuned. Watch your inbox. Next week, I'll be back with some proper facilitation geekery - tools, tips, and tricks to make your sessions sing. π‘ Your Input, PleaseThis week's invitation is simple: contribute. If there's something you're stuck on, curious about, or want to explore more deeply - let me know. Add it in the comments on LinkedIn. Or, if you're more of an inbox person, just hit reply and tell me what's on your mind. No pressure. No fancy structure. Just a conversation between facilitation nerds. Let's co-create this thing. Hey #FaciliFam, it's been a minute since my last issue. Things have been a bit scattered, but here's something useful for you. This isn't about "buy more stuff." In online sessions, people forgive imperfect tech - but not how you make them feel. Clear audio, clean lighting, and tools that stay out of your way remove friction so your presence can shine. Black Friday did its usual thing: rolled in quietly, then discounted half the internet. So here's a curated list of upgrades that deliver the...
