Good news: you can share system audio only.

Perfect for background music or podcast clips - no actual screen share needed.

Go to Share Screen → Advanced → Computer Audio

Click Share – participants hear whatever your device plays

Adjust volume in the source app (e.g., YouTube)

Sharing is caring... but not everything needs to be seen. 🫣

Did you know you can show only the part of your screen that matters?

Highlight a slide, show a timer, or guide attention to one frame in Miro. This helps you control the narrative visually, one portion at a time.

Open Share Screen → Advanced → Portion of Screen

Drag and resize the green border anytime during the share

🔒 Zoom Bouncer: Engaged

Tired of latecomers dropping in 40 minutes late like “What did I miss?” 😑

Lock your session after it starts to keep the focus intact.

This can come in handy for small group sessions, invite-only events, or sensitive topics - it ensures no one joins mid-flow and breaks the vibe.

Click the Security icon in the toolbar (🛡️)

Select ✔ Lock Meeting

🛡️ Lock vs Waiting Room – What’s the Difference?

Lock Meeting

Use this when your session is in full swing and you want zero interruptions. Once locked, no one else can join - even if they have the link and passcode. Ideal for mid-session focus, private groups, or high-stakes discussions.

Waiting Room

Best for pre-session control. It holds participants outside the room until you manually let them in - perfect for screening attendees, onboarding one-by-one, or managing entry in waves.

You’re in Miro, OBS, or sharing slides. Now Zoom wants your attention? 🐿️

Global shortcuts work even when Zoom isn't active.

Great when multitasking across tools - like toggling audio while presenting or switching views mid-share.

In Settings → Keyboard Shortcuts, enable Global Shortcuts

Zoom gives you two separate windows - one for content, one for participant video - that you can position wherever you like.

Perfect for sharing slides while still seeing reactions - no more window flipping.

Open Settings → General → check Use dual monitors

Restart Zoom if prompted
